YOU ARE HERE BEER #80, South Side Slopes Release!
Happening alongside Goat Fest, a celebration of South Side Park and ecological fundraiser, and hosted by the South Side Community Council, we’d like to welcome you to join us Saturday, July 29th from 1-4pm at Brew House Arts for the release of South Side Slopes!
This release marks the beginning of the FINAL TEN Neighborhood beers (believe it or not) and we’re stoked to be hosted in such a beautiful space.
For this beer, we’re brewing a West Coast IPA, coming in at 6.2% abv and made using New Zealand Cascade, Comet, Galaxy, and Idaho 7 Hops.
We’ll be hanging at Brew House Arts with cans for on-site consumption and four packs to go (including some additional releases) and can think of no better way to cool off after checking out Goat Fest!
But, what is Goat Fest?
“Held every summer over four weeks in South Side Park’s “Jurassic Valley,” Goat Fest is a unique event in Pittsburgh in which Allegheny Goatscape goats feed off of invasive vines. Volunteers follow the goats to pull up the woody remainders and then seed the area with native species. The event includes live music, craft vendors, children’s activities, goat yoga and food trucks.”
Sounds pretty cool to us.
